On November 2-5, 2017, the team's PIFI visiting scholars of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and  the chief scientist of KIST Korea, Kwang-Ryeol Lee visited CNITECH. Dr.Lee is also the director of KIST's policy technology research institute. In order to promote the extensive cooperation between KIST and CNITECH, Dr. Jong Joo Kim, who is responsible for international cooperation at the KIST Policy and Technology Institute, also visited.

During the visit, Dr. Lee and the leaders of the CNITECH conducted an introduction on KIST, and shared his personal research experiences, and made expectations and suggestions for the follow-up KIST-NIMTE cooperation. At the same time, he was also invited to visit the University of Nottingham Ningbo, China, and discussed the future possible cooperation with the school leaders.

In the process of communicating with our teammates, Professor Aiying Wang first issued Dr. Lee a PIFI offer. Then the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on the theoretical calculation of carbon film and the simulation of solid-liquid composite interface structure. From the perspective of material genome research and big data mining, Dr. Lee proposed the follow-up specific work direction for the team.
