The 4th International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanism and Machine Science was hold at Jeju South Korea on 19-22March 2017. About 200 researchers and scholars from near 20 countries or regions such as German, Britain, India, South Korea, Japan and China attended this conference, which originated from 2008 and gradually became a senior academic conference in tribology research field.

Associate researcher Dr. Xiao-wei Li, doctor students Mrs. Jiao Yuan and Mrs. Lei Li participated in this conference, and Mrs. Li gave a poster presentation titled "Fabrication and tribocorrosion behavior of Cr/GLC multilayered films used under artificial seawater". Research progress on the design, fabrication of GLC film and its application in tribocorrosion protection from the group was introduced in the poster, which attracted a lot of interests during the conference. Mrs. Li was also awarded the "Best Poster Award" when the conference was closed.
