2015 China-Korea DLC Workshop

On Nov. 26-28, 2015, the “2015 China-Korea workshop of diamond-like carbon films and technology” was held successfully in Ningbo. The workshop is co-organized by Ningbo institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences (NIMTE, CAS) from china and Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) from korea. It is co-supported by National Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and National Research foundation of korea (NRF).

Prof. Aiying Wang at NIMTE and Dr. Kwang-Ryeol Lee at KIST delivered the opening speech as co-chairs of the workshop. Prof. Ping Cui, president of NIMTE, gave a very warmest welcoming speech.

The workshop topics cover the materials calculation, deposition, characterization and applications of DLC fields. The aim of the workshop is to share the new achievements, explore new principles, new technology, new properties and new applications of carbon based films, build scientific and industrial networks, and discuss the state of art solution to the challenges and opportunities of DLC films.

Over 60 academic researchers and engineers attended the workshop. 20 invited speakers from korea, china, Sweden, Germany, Singapore delivered the excellent presentation in viewpoints of academic research and industrial application. The workshop provides an intensive and international platform for the knowledge exchanging and interactive communicating for the attendees.
